These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Parent Helper ("the app"), a personal, non-commercial iPhone app that helps a family member read and manage their Gmail. By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
The service
Parent Helper displays email from a connected Gmail account in a simplified, large-text interface, translated into Simplified Chinese and read aloud, so a parent who does not read English can understand their mail. It can also mark messages as read or unread, archive them, and apply or remove labels. The app is read-and-understand only — it does not send email or compose replies on your behalf.
Personal, non-commercial use
The app is a private, non-commercial project made for use within one family. It is not sold to the public and is provided free of charge. You may use it only for lawful, personal purposes and only with a Google account you are authorized to access.
Your Google account
The app connects to your Gmail through Google's standard OAuth consent screen. You are responsible for the security of your Google account and for keeping your device secure. You can revoke the app's access at any time from your Google Account permissions. Your use of Gmail also remains subject to Google's own terms.
Privacy
The app is local-first: your email is processed on your device and is not sent to any server operated by the developer or to any third-party or cloud AI service. How your data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the app for any unlawful purpose or to access an account you do not own or have permission to use.
- Do not attempt to reverse engineer, tamper with, or disrupt the app in ways that harm others or violate applicable law.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The developer does not guarantee that translations, summaries, or read-aloud output are complete or accurate, that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will be available at any given time.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. You are responsible for verifying important information in the original email before acting on it.
Changes to the app and these Terms
The app may change or be discontinued at any time. If these Terms change, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

本应用按“现状”和“现有可用”提供，不作任何明示或默示的保证， 包括对特定用途适用性和不侵权的保证。开发者不保证翻译、摘要或朗读内容完整或准确， 不保证本应用不中断、无差错，也不保证其在任何特定时间可用。
责任限制
